Sewer Rate Info & Update
We’re pleased to share that our sewer rates have remained unchanged for over five years. We’re happy to announce that we will not be raising the sewer rates at this time; they’ll continue to be $2.562 per 100 gals. 😊
However, the Darmstadt Town Council has voted to adjust the electric flat fee due to a rate hike from CenterPoint.
As a result, if you see the electric flat fee on your bill, you will notice an increase of $2.95, from $14.74 to $17.69.
This increase is necessary to cover the rising costs associated with running the sewer pumps.
Additionally, for our 60 well users:
A couple of months ago, we sent letters and affidavits to all 60 well users, offering a discounted rate for those eligible. We received 26 affidavits back from well user accounts that qualified for the “2 or fewer occupants” rate.
Those well users who did not qualify or did not submit their affidavit will be charged the regular well rate.
Please note that all well users will now also pay an admin fee of $7.45, same rate charged to the rest of town water meter users.
